Vision & beliefs

“At Angleton First Church you’ll find a diverse group of people with one thing in common – a need to be rescued by Jesus. Everyone has a story, and the story gets better when Jesus is in the middle of it. ”

Love God
– Love People –
Do Your Part

You’ll hear and see this phrase a lot at AFC. These seven words are reminders of what is most important. ‘Love God’ and “love people’ are the very condensed version of the two Great Commandments given to us by Jesus. ‘Do your part’ is the short version of what is known as the Great Commission which is basically the assignment given to us by Jesus before He returned to be with His Father.

our goals

Connect. Grow. Serve.

We are here to know God. John 1:12, along with many other verses, lets us know that we connect with God by salvation through Jesus.

Salvation is only the beginning of our journey with God. I Peter 2:2 encourages us to grow up in our salvation through God’s Word.

We all have different strengths and giftings. I Peter 4:10 lets us know we are to serve others with the gifts God has given us.
